A steady, grounded space to slow down and meet what needs your attention.

You’re holding it all together—but inside, it’s hard.

From the outside, you seem to be coping. Yet underneath, you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or close to running on empty.

You might be a working parent constantly putting yourself last. Or a high-achieving professional noticing burnout creeping in and wondering how long you can sustain this pace. Perhaps you’re navigating a significant life shift - parenthood, returning to work, a career change, or retirement - and feeling unsettled in ways you didn’t expect.

You may be carrying unspoken rules about who you should be - how much you must do, how little you’re allowed to rest or to need. Patterns that once helped you manage, now keep you stuck in cycles of striving, over-giving, or self-doubt.

You want to feel calmer. More present. More connected to yourself and what truly matters.

This is a space to slow down, reflect on what no longer fits, and find a steadier way forward.

This is where I can help.

Hi, I’m Dr Sam Bampton

HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, EMDR & CAT Therapist, & Coach.

Welcome - it’s great to meet you!

I work with people who carry a lot, often women and professionals, who appear to be managing well, yet feel overwhelmed, burnt out, an ’imposter’, or quietly disconnected from themselves.

My work focuses on helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck, whether that’s overworking, self-doubt, or putting yourself last, and supporting you to move forward with greater clarity, and self-trust.

Together, we create space to reflect, make sense of what’s been driving you, help you reconnect with yourself and build a way of living that feels more sustainable and aligned.

  • Testimonials

“When I began sessions with Samantha, I was deeply psychologically exhausted following a divorce, the impact of war in my home country, and the responsibility of raising two young children on my own. Sam helped me understand and reconnect with a sense of compassion and strength.

I now recommend to my patients the importance of speaking with a therapist — not because guidelines say so, but because I know first-hand that it truly makes a difference.”

  • Testimonials

“I’ve always been a confident public speaker with preparation, but presenting ad-hoc radiology cases in a viva exam under consultant scrutiny took me back to struggling to read aloud at primary school - something I never fully overcame.

Working with Sam helped me unpick those early experiences and challenge the conclusions I’d formed about myself. She also helped me draw on the confidence and resilience I’d built on the cricket field to handle setbacks differently.

With her support, I went on to pass my viva exam.”
