My Approach
My doctorate-level training emphasised an evidence-based, collaborative approach to therapy, something I continue to value and bring into my work. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, drawing on approaches such as EMDR (including EMDR-informed coaching), CAT, CBT, ACT and compassion-focused approaches to support your goals. Together, we’ll focus on building self-awareness and self-compassion, while helping you move forward in ways that feel meaningful to you.
I believe lasting change doesn’t just come from insight - it comes from integrating what you learn into your everyday life. My aim is that you leave therapy or coaching with a practical, personalised toolkit to help you stay grounded, navigate life’s inevitable challenges, and keep moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Is My Approach Right for You?
Not every connection is the right fit, and that’s perfectly okay. The most important thing is finding the support that aligns with where you are in life right now and is going to offer a safe, non-judgmental space to help you move forwards in the ways you’re seeking. So, would we work well together? Let’s explore…
You’ll likely resonate with my approach if you:
Appreciate a structured, solution-focused and time-limited approach to your growth
Value the flexibility and accessibility of online support or prefer in-person sessions and are able to attend in North Devon
Want to invest in working with a doctoral-level, experienced psychologist and coach
Are motivated to create change and try evidence-based strategies
Are open to integrating well-being practices between sessions to keep the momentum going
It might not be the best fit if you:
Prefer an entirely unstructured, purely exploratory approach
Need in-person support but are outside of North Devon
Are seeking a lower-cost therapist or coach with less experience
Are looking for couples or family therapy specifically
Aren’t ready to engage in self-work outside of sessions
Have a high degree of complexity or risk, requiring multi-disciplinary care or NHS services*
If you feel drawn to my approach, I’d love to support you in moving forward.

*I’m not able to offer longer-term, open-ended therapy or support for individuals experiencing high levels of risk. As I do not provide a crisis service, those with more complex or acute needs may be better supported through NHS services or a multidisciplinary team approach.
My work is best suited to individuals seeking focused, time-limited support to work through specific challenges and create meaningful, sustainable change.
